An Honest Conversation
We do not recommend unnecessary treatment. We do not promise what medicine cannot deliver.
Smile Design is a family dental clinic where, for more than three decades, we have followed the same principle: every patient is a person first.
In the early 1990s, when private dental practice in Serbia was only beginning to develop, Prof. Dr Nebojša Bota Ristić, a faculty member at the Department of Endodontics of the University of Belgrade School of Dental Medicine, founded one of Belgrade's first private dental clinics.
From the very beginning, he believed that good dentistry is not only about knowledge and technique. Conversation, trust and the time devoted to each person are equally important. Patients should come to a place where someone will listen to them, understand them and sincerely help them.
We have combined experience, modern dentistry and the teamwork of specialists from different fields so that even the most complex cases can be treated in one place. When necessary, we plan treatment together, because we believe the best solutions emerge when every problem is considered from several professional perspectives.
Today, we continue this tradition as a family dental clinic.
Before every examination, we want to hear what brings you to us, what concerns you, what you expect from treatment and what matters to you.

We do not recommend unnecessary treatment. We do not promise what medicine cannot deliver.
When treatment is complex, we do not rush. We do not take shortcuts if they could compromise the quality of the result.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution - every treatment plan is tailored to the clinical findings and the patient's needs.
We continue to follow our patients after treatment because we want the results we achieve to last for years.
We wanted to create a space where you can relax, ask questions and talk to your dentist without feeling rushed.

Very rarely. Bleeding gums are a sign of inflammation. The inflammation may sometimes subside temporarily, giving the impression that the problem has resolved on its own. In reality, the cause of the inflammation is still present and the infection continues to smoulder.
Periodontal disease is usually painless, so many patients do not notice that anything is wrong until the disease has already progressed. Bleeding gums, bad breath, gum recession or loose teeth are therefore much more important warning signs than pain itself.
No. A loose tooth does not automatically need to be extracted. It depends on the degree of mobility, what caused it and how much supporting tissue remains.
Twice a year. This applies to everyone, whether their gums are healthy or they have periodontal disease. Patients with periodontal disease usually need check-ups and professional tartar removal three to four times a year.
No. Implants are an excellent solution when a natural tooth can no longer be saved, but a healthy natural tooth always takes priority. Our goal is to preserve your tooth whenever possible.
