Why is proper tooth alignment important?
Properly aligned teeth are not important solely for aesthetics. They make oral hygiene easier, support proper chewing and helpdistribute forces more evenly across the teeth and supporting tissues.
What types of orthodontic appliances are available?
Modern orthodontic treatment includes different types of appliances, and the choice of treatment depends on the patient’s age, the type of orthodontic problem and the desired outcome.
In children, when clinically indicated, removable orthodontic appliances can be used to guide proper growth and development of the jaws. In adolescents and adults, fixed braces are most commonly used to move the teeth gradually into the correct position.
For patients seeking a more discreet treatment, clear aligner systems such as Invisalign® and similar solutions are also available. They use a series of custom-made clear aligners to move the teeth gradually into the planned position.
How is orthodontic treatment selected?
There is no single solution that is best for everyone. Orthodontic treatment is selected after a thorough examination and analysis, according to each patient’s needs.
Within our team, orthodontic treatment is planned and managed by an orthodontic specialist to ensure that every treatment is professional, safe and tailored to the individual case.

Questions and Answers
-
There is no single answer to this question. The duration of orthodontic treatment depends entirely on the type and complexity of the problem being treated. Some patients only need minor irregularities in tooth position to be corrected, while others require bite correction, jaw expansion or treatment of more complex orthodontic problems. The duration of treatment can therefore vary considerably. In some cases, treatment lasts several months, while complex cases may take several years. It is therefore impossible to provide an exact answer in advance or determine the duration of treatment without an examination and analysis. Only after making a diagnosis can an orthodontist assess the most appropriate treatment plan and its approximate duration.
